The program to extend the London Overground class 378 units from 4-cars to 5-cars is now in progress, the first train being completed in September. This work has necessitated the construction of new stabling sidings on waste ground south of Surrey Quays Station. Known as Silwood Depot, this location has also been home to many of the London Overground liveried service vehicles added to stock in 2013. Present on 20th October 2014 were VW Transporter crew van 7776VW (here since new) and Renault Kangoo Maxi van 7768R (which seems to have moved here in autumn 2014).
