General News Content releases, etc. |

30th December 2008 The new OTA log wagons produced by Greeni and tmz06003 have been added to the catalogue (see Other/Special page), along with some further updates to John Whelan's VEA vans. Other new content will be added once I have tracked down some missing dependencies. |
28th November 2008 Depending on your point of view, the big news of the last week could be either the launch of a beta version of TRS2009, or of Eldavo's Fastline IIA bogie coal hopper! There have also been a couple more VDA vans, with chameleon-equipped versions expected to follow soon. One other model shown on the forums as a work-in-progress is an LNER Pipe wagon. BR built very similar wagons and some remained in service (albeit departmental) until the late 1990s. |
18th October 2008 Catching up with some recent releases, I have added Communist's fine reskinning of my Bardon hopper into RMC livery, and also the first 7 of the fantastic VDA vans built by Greeni and textured by tmz06003. |
28th September 2008 The main event of the past few months has been the launch of Trainz Classics 3, which features UK rolling stock and routes. In terms of modern image wagons, two new items included are a Presflo cement hopper and an Anhydrite hopper, although both types were in reality withdrawn by the mid-1980s. Bloodnok's fine Freightliner wagons are also included. I haven't got a copy of TC3 yet so the new items do not appear in the model index. |
8th June 2008 Released over a month ago but only just added to the site are two versions of a new OAA open wagon model by John Whelan together with another variant of his Vanwide. All three models are shown on the General Goods wagon page. Work in progress that has been shown on the forums in recent weeks include a PTA side tipper wagon by Tramp (complete with some pretty neat animation) and an OBA open wagon by GDS (TRS-UK). |
24th April 2008 John Whelan's range of VEA vans has been expanded and improved again, the recent releases being shown on the General Goods wagon page. |
22nd March 2008 Catching up with some missed hopper releases, including an upgrade of the Hanson JHA and EWS HTA, both including the dual drawgear (outer) variants. A more recent release is of a HBA wagon by Tramp, building on his earlier RNA barrier wagon. |
4th March 2008 Releases in the past week have included another pair of big nuclear flask-carrying wagons by Tramp (one of which has 24 wheels!) and also the First GBRf HYA coal hopper by eldavo. |
23rd February 2008 Not only has Tramp upgraded all 7 of his nuclear wagons with CoupleStar couplings, but he has also released an RNA runner wagon to go with them. All can be seen in the other/special listing. Also added to the catalogue are 6 mineral wagons by tmz06003, including 2 MCVs, 3 MSVs and the first of the larger MDVs. |
1st February 2008 Fans of nuclear flask wagons will be very pleased by some recent releases by Tramp, covering a variety of such types including 12- and 16-wheel monsters. The first 6 have been added to the catalogue today, with the 7th due soon. Still not been able to fully download the new MCV and MSV wagons... |
11th January 2008 The MSV stone tippler wagon started by Tommylommykins has been completed by tmz06003 and uploaded to the DLS. However, server problems have meant that it has been hard to get hold of! |

Site News Latest additions and changes to LTSV Trainz |
30th December 2008 It might be worth mentioning that all models shown on this website are compatible with TRS2004 unless stated otherwise. With the release of TC3 and now TRS2009, new content will doubtlessly be available only for these later versions. At present, such models will not be included on this site. |
23rd December 2008 Not much progress on any of my projects recently. However, I have uploaded new versions of 23 of my recent content items, all of which had slight errors in their KUID tables. The links in the catalogue section have been updated. By the way, the dates shown against models are generally for the latest version available, not for when the model was first released.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL. |
28th November 2008 The catalogue pages have been updated with some recent releases, and the HTO coal hopper project page has had the completed NCB variants added. |
23rd November 2008 Another old project to be resumed is the NCB coal hopper wagon. Orginally to have been a simple reskinning of the HTO wagon, I have decided to represent some of the subtle differences in the design. |
18th November 2008 The BWA Covered Steel Wagon has been completed and the relevant pages have been updated. DLS links will be added once it has been approved. This is another tick on my "long-outstanding projects" list but there are still plenty more to do! |
16th November 2008 A few updates have just been added charting my progress in bringing the BWA covered steel wagon up to scratch. |
29th October 2008 After a gap of over 2 years, I have returned to the Tope ballast wagon project, bringing the mesh up to the spec of the HTV hoppers, and adding a revised load animation. |
25th October 2008 The three Oxford bus liveries, plus Wilts and Dorset, have been completed and are now on the DLS. Details on the road vehicles project page. Also available on the DLS is a Freightliner Heavy Haul JGA bogie hopper, this being a reskin of my Bardon hopper. See the Bardon Hoppers project page for more information. |
21st October 2008 Some progress was made on the long-promised Oxford buses tonight, and I also added Wilts and Dorset livery following a request. Details on the road vehicles project page. |
18th October 2008 LTSV Trainz has now been live for just over a fortnight, and most of the feedback so far is positive. Two new project pages have been added for additional items I have recently agreed to do. The Autoballasters have been started while the MRA ballast tipper is going to be developed from a recent test model. |
28th September 2008 The website is pretty much finished and the plan is to launch it on the 1st October. A little work is still required on the sister site, LTSV wagons. |
30th August 2008 The first few BDA and BTA models have been released, while work on the first variant of CO2 tank wagon is also progressing well. Another new project was opened today to cover the construction of a Plasser track maintenance trolley. The project has been titled On-Track Plant as it may eventually cover other types of track machine. |
17th August 2008 Although good progress is being made with the BDA project (the first few wagons were submitted to the DLS yesterday, I decided to start yet another project today, this being the TTA carbon Dioxide Tank Wagon. |
16th July 2008 I started work on a brand new project today, the subject being the BDA Bogie Bolster wagon and its derivatives. |
15th June 2008 Work on a couple of projects has resumed in the last week and updates have been provided on the Road Vehicles, Car Carrying Wagons and TYind Industries and Products pages. |
8th June 2008 I have been cataloguing new releases over the past few months, and work on the last few pages of this site is underway. The latter are mainly pages in the resources section and I have decided that the downloads page will include some of my content as CDPs. Those for finished models are already on the DLS but I hope to also add unfinished items, for feedback or previewing. |
21st January 2008 Absolutely no updates recently, either on my projects or this website. This is due partly due to work underway on the sister website covering real wagons but mainly due to the needs of the youngest member of my family. |
