This page has been added to briefly outline the models that I built in my first phase of being a Trainz content creator. Back in 2003 I had just a laptop but was very impressed with Trainz UTC when I installed a demo version from a magazine cover disc. I bought the full version, then downloaded gmax and started building wagons. These were very basic models, with fixed wheels and couplings, no shadows and certainly no LOD or industry compatibility. My first wagons were a set of ARC-liveried bogie stone wagons, including the tapered PTA type with BSC bogies, and the straight-sided PXAs with Schlierens. Next up was a HTV coal hopper wagon and this spawned 2 ballast wagon derivatives (2 Topes and a Clam). The PTA underframe was used for the start of a JSA steel carrier, while my final model was of a PCA cement v-tank wagon, with a ridiculously high polygon count. The poor performance of my laptop, plus changes in my interests, led to me spending less time in Trainz, and my content never got anywhere near being released. However, a couple of years later I returned, with a new PC more capable of running the game, and I resumed building. Some of the early models were extensively upgraded, as detailed on the other project pages. As at mid-2007, only the PXA and PCA have not been dealt with, and the latter type has already been modelled by Greeni. |

Early wagon models |
Once I had installed TRS2004 on my new PC I transferred my old models from archive CD. This line up shows the 13 models that were in various states of completion, while the wagons on the nearest 2 tracks (apart from the PCA) were only started more recently. The Railtrack PNA (nearest) was almost completed but found to be rather overscale so was not released. The second picture shows close-ups of the JNA/PXA (with rather crude Schlierien bogies) and PCA, neither of which is likely to be released. |

| Star ratings: |
These are my own personal appraisals of each model, based on the quality of the mesh and texture, the features, and the realism/accuracy of the complete model. |
1 star. Poor. Inaccurate mesh and/or texture |
4 stars. Almost perfect |
2 stars. Adequate |
5 stars. Unimprovable! |
3 stars. Good |
Not rated. Applies to my own models! |

| Trainz versions: |
These indicate the lowest version of Trainz that an item will work with. For example, an item with version number 2.0 will work in any version of Trainz from 2004 onwards. Note that the version numbers are taken from the config file of the main item. The version numbers for dependencies may be different, resulting in the item having a higher requirement. |
