Project Title: Marcon/Brett Aggregate Hoppers
Status: Barely started
Start Date: January 2006
Completion: ?
Prototype: See profile on this site.
Models: The Marcon wagons are the only ones I see on a regular basis, as they carry sea-dredged gravel from a terminal at Angerstein Wharf (near Charlton) to destinations around London. Therefore I was keen to make a model. The project shares some similarities with the Bardon one in that it covers a relatively small batch of wagons yet includes several body and bogie variations. There are also several liveries that have been carried, as detailed in the profile linked above.
The Brett hoppers are similar (but shorter) and have been used in the same geographic areas. They at least have a single design to model.
The bottom line for now is that I underestimated how long projects like this take to complete. A basic outline model of the Marcon hopper was knocked up fairly quickly but then I was fully occupied developing some of my other early models. One day!

Marcon/Brett Hoppers
Amidst a flurry of wagons that I started in early 2006 was this basic model of a Marcon PHA hopper.
Key

Features: Industry compatible Level of Detail reduction meshes
Chameleon (or equivalent) texture switching Couplestar (or equivalent) working couplings
Animated parts (other than wheels and loads)

Star ratings: These are my own personal appraisals of each model, based on the quality of the mesh and texture, the features, and the realism/accuracy of the complete model.
1 star. Poor. Inaccurate mesh and/or texture 4 stars. Almost perfect
2 stars. Adequate 5 stars. Unimprovable!
3 stars. Good Not rated. Applies to my own models!

Trainz versions: These indicate the lowest version of Trainz that an item will work with. For example, an item with version number 2.0 will work in any version of Trainz from 2004 onwards. Note that the version numbers are taken from the config file of the main item. The version numbers for dependencies may be different, resulting in the item having a higher requirement.
