Although the BDA project (and many others) were still underway, I decided to start yet another new model in mid-August. The subject selected was the TTA Carbon Dioxide tank. There are not many tank wagons in Trainz and this particular type was seen in many parts of the UK, often in mixed formation Speedlink trains. Further attractions were that there were at least three main variants, and scope for some experimentation with heavy weathering.
There were some problems obtaining dimensions for these wagons as published sources varied. Even some of the wagons appeared to have incorrect wheelbase figures painted on them. A lot of the modelling was therefore done by estimation.

TTA CO2 Tank Wagons |
This was the state of the TTA after the first few hours work and just before I went away for a few days. A plain grey texture was applied temporarily to highlight any modelling issues. Note the differing ends of the tank barrell. |

After another day's work, much of the underframe detail has been added, along with the beginnings of a texture. The colours will be toned down later! |

Work is now focusing mainly on the textures. Planes were added for some of the finer lettering (such as the TOPS panel and Hazchem warnings). |

| Trainz versions: |
These indicate the lowest version of Trainz that an item will work with. For example, an item with version number 2.0 will work in any version of Trainz from 2004 onwards. Note that the version numbers are taken from the config file of the main item. The version numbers for dependencies may be different, resulting in the item having a higher requirement. |
