Project Title: MJA Freightliner Box Wagons
Status: Under construction
Start Date: 2nd July 2010
Completion: Ongoing
Prototype: TOPS code MJA was used for a batch of twin-coupled box wagons built in Poland for Freightliner Heavy Haul in 2003/2004. Sixty wagons were built, coupled into 30 twins, while a further two single wagons were built later for use trialling new bogie designs. The wagons were used on a variety of bulk flows.
Models: In mid-2010 I received a request to modify my JTA wagons to represent a Freightliner MJA. I figured that this would not produce a particularly accurate model and that, given the relative simplicity of the design, it would be just as easy to build a new model from scratch. The fact that the distinctive TF25 bogies had already been built (by Eldavo) was a deciding factor. It was hoped to complete the model ahead of the DLS changes expected later in the year.

MJA Freightliner Box Wagons
After the first day of work, the bulk of the body had been built (although some parts had not yet been textured and hence do not appear). The body colour will be matched to other Freightliner models, with the photo-texture used for the name board to be adjusted to suit.
Key

Features: Industry compatible Level of Detail reduction meshes
Chameleon (or equivalent) texture switching Couplestar (or equivalent) working couplings
Animated parts (other than wheels and loads)

Star ratings: These are my own personal appraisals of each model, based on the quality of the mesh and texture, the features, and the realism/accuracy of the complete model.
1 star. Poor. Inaccurate mesh and/or texture 4 stars. Almost perfect
2 stars. Adequate 5 stars. Unimprovable!
3 stars. Good Not rated. Applies to my own models!

Trainz versions: These indicate the lowest version of Trainz that an item will work with. For example, an item with version number 2.0 will work in any version of Trainz from 2004 onwards. Note that the version numbers are taken from the config file of the main item. The version numbers for dependencies may be different, resulting in the item having a higher requirement.
