| Details: Not previously illustrated, 2508M was one of 6 Mercedes-Benz 1114 demountable trucks bought in 1993. An earlier batch of 6 similar vehicles (though fitted with cab headboards) had arrived in 1990 for use by the Emergency Response Unit. Following replacement by Volvo lorries, these were transferred to general duties, thereby joining the second batch. Typical of the bodies carried is the Locomotors dropside with crew cab seen in this view taken at Baker Street station on 22nd August 2001. 2508M was withdrawn in about April 2006, having been replaced by new MAN trucks. | ||
