Details: During both the 1983 and 1984 open days at Chiswick Works, a display of current service vehicles was arranged in the yard close to the Bollo Lane entrance. Although the larger lorries present seem to have been widely photographed, fewer cameras were turned on the more mundane small vehicles. It is nice therefore to be able to add this picture of Bedford CF van 3007B taken on 2nd July 1983. One of 33 Bedford vans to be given MHY/Y series registrations, most were CFs like this one and were assigned to the bus publicity role. 3007B however was one of several lettered for the Distribution Services Manager and was allocated to Parsons Green. Just visible in the background are the preserved AEC Mercury pole carrier parked on a low-loader trailer, a Ford Escort car, and Ford Cargo and Dodge Commando dropside lorries.
