| Details: I did a double-take when I first saw this photo, thinking it was of an office somewhere. This is in fact the interior of Ford Thames Trader lorry 1282F, converted in the late 1960s or early 1970s into a Communications Vehicle. As can be seen, the interior was fitted with a desk, several chairs (fixed to the floor) and numerous telephones. This was probably considered 'hi-tech' at the time! Note also the translucent roof panels. Photographed in about July 1981, the vehicle was eventually replaced by Ford A0609 box van 2086F in 1983. | ||
