LCBS Variations in Rolling Stock
Summary: LCBS produced Variations in Rolling Stock sheets from its formation in 1970 until shortly before it was split up in 1986. These were broadly similar to the LT Variation sheets.

Detail: When the country area of London Transport was separated out into the new London Country Bus Services (LCBS), it continued many of the practices of its former owner. This included the issuing of regular 'Variations in Rolling Stock' documents. Because of the much smaller fleet size, the documents were initially monthly (later changed to weekly), with the changes on each date within the period listed in order. For most of 1970 the details were hand-written (often not very neatly!). Thankfully the sheets from October 1970 onwards were typed. Service vehicles were covered but not comprehensively, many vehicles never getting a mention.
