| Details: My comments last month prompted John Hillman to send in some pictures of some of the single-deck buses converted for other uses in the late 1978s and early 1980s. First up is mobile shop and information vehicle SPB753, converted from SMS753 in 1978. It was originally painted white with red skirt and roof (as illustrated in the Capital Transport SV book) but by 1981 was repainted into this attractive blue, white and red livery. On the 27th June of that year it was photographed at Finchley Garage open day. | ||||
