Peter Osborn (of Red-RF fame) recently got in touch to say he had found and scanned a dozen-or-so photos he took of service vehicles in the 1960s. He has posted the images on Flickr but he kindly agreed to my re-using them here. The first four are being posted today, starting with this excellent shot of AEC Regent lorry 1017J taken in White City. 1017J was built using the chassis from bus STL2669 in 1955 (the low chassis frame is clearly visible here) and was based at Southall Bus Garage for the next 10 years. This photo may have been taken after its disposal in June 1965. There is no London Transport lettering or allocation plate, and the trade plate 820GF is not one officially listed as being used by LT.
