Stock covered:This indicates what types of rolling stock are covered. Note that this refers to photos of specific items. For example, a photo of a freight train does not count as a photo of wagons. If there are only a few photos in a given category, this may be shown as none. Locos: Green Tick Units: Green Tick Coaches: Green Tick Wagons: Green Tick OTP: Green Tick
Eras covered:This shows the dates when the photos in each gallery were taken. Note that this does not relate to the age of the stock. For example, a photograph of a 1930s taken in 2021 at a heritage railway would count as a 2000s photo. Also, if there are only a very small number of photos in a particular era, that era may be shown as having none. Pre-1980: Green Tick 1980-1990: Green Tick 2000 onwards: Green Tick
Review:This review contains the opinions of the reviewer and gives an overview of the site along with information about any particular highlights or issues.Keith's site has taken a nice, simple approach to organisation of his large collection (15,000+). There is a album for each loco class, then one each for DMUs, EMUs, coaches, wagons etc. The downside of this is that finding particular items (apart from locos) can be tricky. The EMU album for instance contains nearly 2,000 photos, including some older (1980s) ones. However, they are all mixed together and the sorting appears to be fairly random. The wagons album has just 224 photos, though they are quite varied.
Rating:This rating is the opinion of the reviewer and takes into account various factors such as the quality of the photographs, the interest/rarity of the subject matter and the ease with which the gallery can be navigated and particular photos found. Maximum score is 5 stars.
