The curious profile of this wagon is explained by the fact that it had a removable cover which could be placed over the ingot. Owned by British Steel Rotherham, this wagon was main-line registered but such use would have been very rare. Maximum speed was 20mph and date of withdrawal is not known but believed to be before 1984.
